I recorded this album live on the Big Island of Hawai'i in December of 2021. I used the instruo scion to convert bioelectric changes in various fruits and flowers into cv changes in various synthesizers including the instruo saich, the roland juno 06a and the moog mother 32. Back in the studio I used the prophet 6 and the casio sk-1 for pads, drones, and additional support.

I used the amazing field recordings of the 'sound tracker', Gordon Hempton, with his permission, to supplement my own field recordings on many of the tracks.

I've included two bonus tracks here that aren't available anywhere else - the slightly psychedelic sounds of cacao and the desert shaggy mane mushroom 🍄

Also only available here is the gorgeous individual track artwork by Joey Wu.

My goal in all my work is to connect us to nature, and to raise awareness and funds to protect wild places. Intact ecosystems are becoming more and more rare - and we need these for the future of our planet - and for our own survival 🌱
